Procurement Assistant Job Openings at Megawide Construction Corporation

Megawide Construction Corporation is hiring Procurement Assistants to assist the Procurement Officer in implementing policies and procedures of the Batching Plant and ensures that purchased goods and services are based on the approved quantity, quality, price, and delivery schedule.

Other job duties:
  • Coordinates with Material Planners to forecast demands and/or create supply chain plans in order to ensure availability of materials.
  • On time placement of orders/requests as per pre-negotiated volume, prices, terms and conditions to ensure that all orders/requests are within the approved budget.
  • Coordinates and reports delivery issues, promptly in order to address/resolve and avoid repetition of the same concern.
  • Provides alternative suppliers in order to ensure continuity of delivery and operations.
  • Secure quotation (recurring and new parts and services) from at least 2-3 suppliers for comparison to ensure that goods purchased to meet our requirements in terms of quality, quantity, and availability.
  • Prepares Purchase Orders (PO) for all Material Requests (MR) in order to ensure that all requests are properly processed.
  • Confirms deliveries with suppliers (date and locations of delivery) to maintain timeliness of the delivery
  • Prepares accurate, timely, and comprehensive procurement reports (Weekly and Monthly Purchase, Purchase Request Status) for monitoring purposes.
  • Maintains organized filing of procurement documents (PR, PO, Quotations, Canvas Sheet) for easy retrieval and future reference.
  • Processes documents of suppliers for accreditation for BP materials, equipment, spare parts, services and others to know the capability and credibility of our suppliers.
  • Follow through on-time payment to suppliers to maintain a good working relationship with suppliers.
  • Monitors supplier's performance to assess the ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
  • Meets with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, feedback, production forecasts in order to ensure alignment of deliverables and target schedules.

  • Candidates must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in any field
  • One (1) year of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Preferably with experience in working with ready mix concrete and Construction Procurement
  • Strong analytical and planning skills
